The Goal
Jayman BUILT needed a new sign after its old LED display stopped working. BoomBright planned and managed the upgrade. The work included removing the old sign, preparing the structure, installing the new display, and connecting the control system.
The new display uses BrightEdge Pro outdoor LED technology and a 65Cubed CubePro system.
The challenge
The existing display was no longer functional, and detailed documentation from its original installation was unavailable. Replacing it required BoomBright to assess the existing infrastructure, take precise measurements, and coordinate engineering work before specifying a solution.
The installation also had to be planned around the building’s operations and completed safely at height, while the new display needed to suit the viewing distance, withstand outdoor conditions, and give Jayman BUILT control over its digital content.
The approach
BoomBright worked with Jayman BUILT, engineers, and suppliers to plan the project.
The team:
- Inspected the existing sign and recorded key measurements.
- Prepared drawings to support engineering and permit applications.
- Removed the old 18′ × 10′ display with a crane.
- Coordinated a custom support structure for the new sign.
- Installed and tested the new LED display.
- Connected the display to a content management system.
- Added light sensors to adjust screen brightness as outdoor ambient light changes.
A custom aluminum enclosure, made by Lenmak Exterior Innovations Inc., helps protect the display from the weather.
The work in action
The Impact
The installation successfully provided Jayman BUILT with a high-performance outdoor LED display, featuring remote content management and automatic brightness adjustment based on ambient light. The new system delivers superior color accuracy and extended hardware longevity, significantly upgrading the company’s digital signage capabilities and marketing exposure.
